The Devon Science Learning partnership was appointed by STEM Learning in 2018 to contribute to their mission of providing 'A world-leading STEM education for all young people across the UK'. In partnership with the DfE and other stakeholders, we provide training opportunities to staff at all levels of education from primary through to higher and further education.
We cover the whole of the county of Devon but work closely with the other partnerships in the South West, including the Cornwall and Somerset SLPs.
Most recently, we have been listed as the approved DfE provider of Science support through the teaching school hubs and NLE support. Should you be given support through these means, it is likely to be signed off by us.
Our training is broad in its offer and specific in its focus, depending on your personal focus and needs. Our materials are all founded on respected research and certified facilitators, with strong quality-assurance measures.
If your school, department, or individual staff are looking for targeted support, we can meet with you and create a session or programme that can meet your needs. We have recently introduced the Primary and Secondary hub packages which offer an affordable series of CPD sessions to groups of schools who wish to work closely together in their development or have similar aims.
